When I come across a good story on concussions or studies that aim to help understand and prevent them, I like to share them here on the blog.
Keeping the issue fresh in the minds of players, parents and coaches is important to help keep those participating in the game so many of us are passionate about safe.
I came across this story posted on ESPN.com’s Page 2 this week. It’s about a study conducted at Virginia Tech that created a ratings system that ranked every brand and each model of football helmet currently on the market.
In addition to providing details on some of the safest models, the study warns football players to avoid the Riddell VSR4 and the Adams A2000.
