The 2nd Annual HighSchoolOT.com Jamboree kicked off Saturday afternoon, wrapping up the three day scrimmage period for high school football teams in North Carolina.
Southeast Raleigh High School hosted the HighSchoolOT.com Jamboree, which began at 3 p.m.
Admission for the day is $5, which includes five football games. Concessions will also be available for purchase.
Garner began the event with a 12-0 win over Rocky Mount. Clayton followed with a 33-28 win over Broughton.
Middle Creek and Nash Central were the next to take the field, with Middle Creek winning 12-6.
Then, Wake Forest-Rolesville went head to head with West Johnston and took home a 20-6 victory.
Southeast Raleigh and Southeast Guilford wrapped up the night with a 7-7 tie.
In total, Wake County schools outscored non-Wake County schools, 79-52.
The HighSchoolOT.com Jamboree is a little different than other jamborees. Instead of the 10 plays on offense, followed by 10 plays on defense, this jamboree features a running clock with a full 100-yard field. The scrimmages are played like actual football games and the score is kept.
Throughout the day, the scoreboard will show the score for Wake County teams versus the non-Wake County teams.
Many vendors will be in attendance on the concourse Saturday. Joining WRAL-TV & HighSchoolOT.com are businesses like VYPE High School Sports Magazine and NCPreps.com.
Look for the big WRAL tent on the concourse to find out more about our coverage this season and to pick up some free HighSchoolOT.com gear.
The HighSchoolOT.com Jamboree is sponsored by Chick-fil-A and TGI Fridays.
