Get your Class 4A state volleyball updates here

Written by Benjamin Bonython on November 8, 2010.

You can get your Class 4A state volleyball updates from the Toyota Center in Kennewick right here all day. I’ll update and republish throughout the day and also will try to twitter the winners.

The WIAA is updating the bracket (hopefully with scores eventually) here.

Skyview records the biggest upset of the opening round with a 3-1 victory over second-ranked Richland. The Storm plays No. 5 Olympia in the quarterfinals at 6:30 p.m.

Olympia beat Snohomish, 3-1.

Issaquah Joins Woodinville in the quarterfinals, sweeping Curtis 3-0.

Woodinville was the first winner of the day, making quick work of No. 10 Stadium (Tacoma), 3-0, to advance to tonight’s 6:30 p.m. quarterfinals Issaquah.

The two KingCo rivals last met back on Oct. 4, with Issaquah winning, 3-1.

In other first-round matches, No. 5 Olympia leads No. 8 Snohomish, 2-1, while No. 2 Richland has its hands full with Skyview (Vancouver), 1-1.

It’s going to be a great day of volleyball. The 3A and 2A tourneys don’t start until tomorrow.
